Pass Plus Course

The Pass Plus course is designed to improve the driving level of new drivers, although anyone with a full UK driving licence can take the course.

The course is run by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency) alongside vehicle insurers and the driving instruction industry.

The purpose of the course is to help drivers reach a safer and more competent standard of driving.

One of the positive side effects of the course is that insurance companies recognise drivers who complete Pass Plus are safer, which means some companies reduce the cost of car insurance.

The Pass Plus format is a series of modules that cover driving subjects which are seen as more advanced. There's no test at the end, but pupils must complete the whole course to receive a certificate.
